Pacific Time is a chef driven, owned and operated Pan-Asian Restaurant in Old Miami Beach, Florida. Housed in a spacious 4,400 square foot "loft-like" space with distressed stucco walls, an extremely high cobalt blue ceiling, light mahogany furnishings and a tropical hard wood floor. The main dining area seats 90, an "open kitchen bar" and an outdoor cafe seat another 35, bringing the total to about 125 seats. Pacific Time serves dinner 7 time a week.
"The style of food, although certainly Asian/Pacific, migrates constantly with strong influences from Indonesia, Vietnam, India and its provinces. It is our intention to provide a culinary experience that is unique, light, refreshing and healthful. Our particular culinary techniques are a fusion of Eastern and Western and there is a Japanese sensibility in many of our plate presentations. Flavors and textural combinations are bold and our balance of aromatics and acidity is a major component in our cookery," says Chef/Owner Jonathan Eismann.
At Pacific Time the menu is printed daily. About 60% of the menu, which generally has a total of about 35 items, is a core menu - which changes little. The remainder of the menu changes bit by bit daily according to availability of certain produce and seafood items. Pacific Time serves only the finest products available. There is no microwave or can opener at Pacific Time.
Pacific Time is located at 915 Lincoln Road in Old Miami Beach, now commonly known as "South Beach". Lincoln Road is a unique pedestrian environment that is free of all automobile traffic. Designed by Morris Lapidus in the 1950's, Lincoln Road has evolved through the decades.
